DescriptionThe Dublin exhibition of The Secret Block for the Secret Person in Ireland was organised by Oliver Dowling of the Arts Council of Ireland. Dowling visited Newgrange with Beuys and the artist Cecil King, whose work is on display in the adjacent galleries. Beuys believed the carvings he saw at Newgrange were evidence that the ancient Celts had a sophisticated knowledge of physical and spiritual energies.
