Description'Orange Fiberglass Form' is one of Brown’s most ambitious works in fibreglass from the 1960s. It complements 'Fibreglass Form on Black', a smaller work that was donated to Hugh Lane Gallery by the Contemporary Irish Art Society in 1969. Unlike most of Brown’s fibreglass work, 'Orange Fiberglass Form' is not mounted on a panel but directly against the wall to dramatic effect. It reveals Brown to be at the cutting edge of experimentation with the material which was also being employed by international artists at the time, such as Robert Morris and Eva Hesse.
