DescriptionThis work is a caricature drawing. It depicts the interior of a room. Mr William Archer kneels, in the right foreground, and raises the toe of Hendrick Ibsen's right boot to his lips. In the background against a wall is a chest-of-drawers, on top of which is a bottle of champaigne and a glass. Above this hangs a picture of Ibsen and the patterned wallpaper on the wall repeats the Ibsen head motif. There is a draped window in the right background.
