DescriptionThis is a sampler, a piece of embroidery worked in various stitches as a specimen of proficiency. It was produced in Cookstown. It shows an Alphabet, both upper and lowercases, and Psalm 136, which reads as follows: To God the mighty Lord / your joyful thanks repeat / To him due praiƒe afford / as good as he is great.
