DescriptionA landscape scene showing the River Rhone in France as it passes the town of Avignon, which can be seen on the far bank. The buildings of the town are depicted with minimal detail in tones of light brown and a few orange roofs. In the foreground on the right a piece the opposite bank is visible. The water of the river reflects the creamy pink and blue of the sky, which covers the entire background.
