DescriptionA wide pathway stretches from the immediate foreground into the middle distance in this landscape. On the left is a black iron fence marking the boundary of a green field. Two boys lean on the fence chatting. Trees line the fence and on the right is a low stonewall dividing the pathway from a road. Along the right hand side of the pathway and in front of the wall are trees, with one huge tree in the foreground. Further along the path is a solitary figure walking towards grey buildings in the background. On the left just visible behind the trees is a porticoed building with a triangular pediment. The sky is grey-blue and clear.
