DescriptionThis pen and ink wash drawing shows a corner of an internal courtyard of an Italianate palace. Two storeys are visible on the left and at least three on the right. On the ground floor, on the left, is a colonnade of arches, covered in with windows: directly above this is a large window with an arch and a balustrade at its base. A section of the window is open and there is a figure standing, leaning on the balustrade. On the right is an arched doorway with double doors, which are closed. Beside this doorway is a slightly smaller doorway with a triangular pediment. Above the arched doorway is a window opening with a triangular pediment, while above the smaller door is a window with a small balcony, possibly made in iron. There is an enclosed balcony running along the right façade at third storey level. On View
