DescriptionIn 1932, Purser hosted an exhibition of Mary Swanzy’s work in Mespil House, following Swanzy’s return to Dublin from her travels in the Pacific. In exchange, Swanzy painted Sarah Purser on the Steps of Mespil House, which shows Purser with her cat, Shan, on the front steps of her house.
