DescriptionThis is a painting of a young woman looking out at the viewer. The title of the work is presumably derived from the fact that she is wearing a magnificent ultramarine blue dress. Her curly red hair falls down over her shoulders. She has folded her arms in front of her and is leaning on a green baize covered table. She appears to be sitting in a quasi-oriental interior, with green wallpaper hanging in the background.
