DescriptionIn 1904 Oliver Sheppard exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy the 1798 Pikeman statue in bronze which was destined for Wexford Town. The sculpture was unveiled in 1905. This version in plaster was presented to the Gallery by the artist's daughter Cathleen Sheppard.
