DescriptionThis is a watercolour of a young woman, who is described as a gipsy. She is sitting with her arms folded on her lap in a hunched position. Her body is facing towards the left, while she turns her head and looks at the viewer. Draped over her shoulders is a large dull yellow cloak. She is wearing a dark olive green dress and a light sea green apron. There is a string of beads hanging from the back of her hair.
