Her dark brown hair contrasts sharply with the warm brown tones of her surroundings and the pale olive green and white of her dress. She is wearing sandals. The background depicting a cave is indistinct.The scene is taken from William Shakespeare’s' play Cymbeline (Act III, Scene VI), where Imogen, disguised as a boy, takes refuge in a cave, where she is discovered by Belarius, Guiderius, and Arviragus.
