DescriptionThe main focus of this painting is the naked back of a woman standing in a pool of water in the immediate foreground. Beyond her is a group of women washing themselves and one woman is washing her baby. In the middle distance there are women dressed in white sitting on grass beside some trees. Another woman on the left is standing, also dressed in white, and watching the others. The background shows a deep blue sea and coastline outlined against a pale blue and white sky.On View
