DescriptionThis is a portrait drawing of a middle-aged man, Mr E. P. Alabaster. He is shown head and shoulders, looking towards the viewer, wearing a dark jacket, a stiff white collared shirt and a dark tie. He has a high forehead, bushy eyebrows and a moustache. The drawing has a grid like many of Mancini's other works, however, it appears that the drawing was pinned to a rough surface and the artist rubbed the charcoal over the paper creating the pattern of horizontal lines approximately 2.5cm apart.
