DescriptionBeatrice Glenavy was recruited by Sarah Purser to work at An Túr Gloine in 1904, initially not as a stained-glass artist but as a sculptor. Purser built a corrugated-iron studio outside the stained-glass workshop where Glenavy worked on orders for busts. Later that year, due to several glass commissions for An Túr Gloine, Glenavy stopped working on sculpture and devoted herself to stained glass.
