DescriptionIn the 1980s, Patrick Scott travelled to Asia to explore his interest in Zen Buddhist culture and philosophy, which is reflected in Meditation Painting. He invites the viewer to examine the relationship between the physical and the metaphysical worlds. Scott’s love of the circle was expressed in a note pinned up in his studio: “The circle is a symbol of fulfilment.”
