DescriptionThis is a three colour intaglio print (etching and aquatint) on paper. The copper plate has been cut to the exact shape of a New York city yellow taxi's door. On first look the imagery on the door resembles that of a Grecian urn, but on closer inspection the Grecian hero can be seen wearing a modern tracksuit and runners. He is using a pooper-scooper to clean up after what appears to be his two-headed dog (this may refer to Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guarded the gate to Hades). Beneath the surface modern-day waste can be seen; this may one day be a future archaeological find.
