DescriptionThis intaglio print (engraving) shows a bird's eye view of the port and city of Malta during the 18th Century. The city and port are represented as having star shaped fortifications and walls. There is little attempt on the part of the artist to render perspective correctly, with sailing ships in the foreground towering up above the walls of Malta.
