DescriptionA scene showing the interior of a circus tent. The centre is taken up with an acrobat swinging from the right on two rings, the entire swing apparatus is visible. In the right middle-ground is a crowd of people huddled together. There are a group of people sitting in an open horse cart in the left middle-ground. In the left foreground is a clown with his hands in his pockets, behind and slightly to the left is a second acrobat standing also with his hands in his pockets. Both are looking at the swinging acrobat.No 11 of 40 impressions etched 1912/1913, published posthumously. Presented by Lord Killanin through the Friends of the National Collections of Ireland 1948.
