DescriptionThis is a relief print (wood engraving) on paper, depicting a scene showing a row of four Victorian style houses, one in the centre middle-ground with an outside stairway. A wall runs almost the entire length of the picture in front of the houses, there is a gap on the far left-hand side. A woman and a child stand slightly off the centre foreground with their backs to the viewer and moving towards the houses.Presented by Mrs. Louisa Clarke 1949.
