DescriptionThis is a relief print (woodcut) on paper with hand painted watercolour additions, depicting a donkey trotting away from the viewer. A typical west of Ireland stonewall ditch can be seen behind the donkey, which is a reference to Yeats' childhood memories of time spent in Sligo, something that continued to inform his work.
