DescriptionThis is a landscape painting showing an English countryside scene. In the foreground are a group of three oak trees with a flock of sheep underneath taking advantage of the shade. There is a shepherd standing on the right watching the sheep. The ground is covered with vibrant green grass. There are more trees in the background, all coloured in a purple and mauve hue; thus creating a sense of distance.On View
