DescriptionThis intaglio print (etching) depicts two stone gargoyles sitting on plinths on a rooftop balustrade of a building. They are overlooking a street below and a town fading into the distance. The gargoyles are etched in great detail with the town below receiving a more sketchy finish by the artist.

Cameron trained at the Glasgow and Edinburgh Schools of Art in the 1880s, and from 1887-1892 he was a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
