DescriptionThis is a portrait of Amaryllis Roubichaud, formerly 'Ryllis Hacon, formerly Muriel Broadbent, formerly Edith Broadbent. She was married to Llewellyn Hacon and she was a friend of both Charles Conder and Toulouse Lautrec. She is buried in Dornoch, Scotland and her grave is inscribed 'Ryllis Roubichaud' RIP. She had at least two sons. W B Yeats refers to this work in his poem, 'The Municipal Gallery Revisited'.
