DescriptionJohn Nash was a member of The London Group, established in 1913 by artists as an alternative to the Royal Academy. In 1921, he was elected to the New English Art Club, set up in the 1880s by English artists influenced by avant-garde art in Paris. Nash became an official war artist after serving in the First World War. This view through an open window combines the traditions of still life and landscape. On View
