DescriptionThis pastel is a rare survivor of W.B Yeats’ paintings and drawings. While Yeats devoted himself to poetry, he had studied art at the Metropolitan School of Art and the Royal Hibernian Academy School in Dublin. The scene shows the flooded lake at Coole, County Galway, the home of Lady Gregory.
