DescriptionBorn in Brighton, Thérèse Lessore studied at the Slade School of Art between 1904 and 1909. .Four years later she became a founding member of The London Group, a radical group of young artists who reacted to the traditions of the Royal Academy, and with whom she exhibited over 100 works. Lessore often captured circus, domestic and street scenes.
