Henry Bishop

Henry Bishop worked in North Africa since 1908, returning to England only in the late twenties. Over the years he had totally immersed himself in Arab culture, painting in Tetouan, Marrakesh and Kairouan. Throughout this period his Moroccan subjects were regularly on show in London, not only at the Royal Academy but also in a series of one-man exhibitions at the Goupil, Baillie and Leicester Galleries.
