Harry Becker

BiographyHarry Becker was born in Colchester, Essex. He studied at the Antwerp Academy and in the studio of Carolus Duran in Paris. For a time he lived in London before moving to Suffolk in 1912, living first at Wenhaston and later at Darscham. He successfully exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. In 1908 he designed murals for Selfridges department store in London. He is best known for his pictures of the local agricultural landscape. He also exhibited at Esposizione Internazionale d'Arta della Città di Venezia in 1907 and 1912.
