DescriptionThe central section of this landscape is taken up with a green area, roughly rectangular in shape. A light grey-brown surrounds the green, presumably representing the sea. There are a few patches of white topped with orange, perhaps the façades of cottages on the island. Among the green are lines of dark grey-brown and some splashes of blue. In the immediate foreground on the right is a small red boat with a single mast bobbing up and down in the sea. The perspective used in the composition gives the impression of an aerial view.On View
