DescriptionAlbert Power was commissioned by Dublin Corporation to make a marble bust of Hugh Lane to commemorate the opening of the new home of the Municipal Gallery of Modern Art in Charlemont House in 1933. The bust was placed in Gallery Five as the only artwork in a room then left empty awaiting the return to Dublin from London of Lane’s thirty-nine Continental pictures.On View
