DescriptionMichael Kane is a central figure in Irish modernism, as a painter, printmaker and as an organiser of the Independent Artists’ exhibitions and co-founder of the Project Arts Centre in the 1960s. In an expressionist manner, Agamemnon Felled places Aeschylus’s Greek tragedy in contemporary Dublin. Classical mythology and urban imagery are themes inspired by James Joyce's 'Ulysses'.On View
